Decrease in pork consumption
The number of cases of swine flu now stands at fourteen. With this threat staring livestock farmers, the Pig Council reports that there is a decrease in the pork consumption and that it is developing strategies to encourage an increase in sales. To this end, the wholesale price of pork is going down from one dollar ninety cents per pound to one dollar seventy-five cents. According to an official release, processed pork products will also see a reduction in prices.
