Butane Prices Down
As of midnight tonight, there will be a drop in the cost of butane gasoline. The government, in a press release from the Supplies Control Unit, announced today that effective this Friday, the new controlled price for a hundred pound cylinder of butane will go down by three dollars across the board. For Belize Gas Limited and Western Gas Company Limited, the new price will be at its lowest in the city and Corozal at eighty-seven dollars. Orange Walk will have the fuel available for eighty-eight dollars while Belmopan and San Ignacio residents will pay eighty-nine dollars for the hundred pound cylinder. Benque Viejo is ninety dollars while in Dangriga and Punta Gorda, the cost will be at ninety-one and ninety-two dollars, respectively. But if you are buying butane from Belize Western Energy Limited, Southern Choice Butane or Zeta Gas and Gas Tomza Limited, the prizes are a tad bit lower. Also seeing a three dollars decrease, in Corozal and Belize City, the price is going down to eighty-five dollars with Orange Walk a dollar above that at eighty-six. Belmopan and San Ignacio will be selling gas at eighty-seven dollars and Benque at eighty-eight dollars. Dangriga and Punta Gorda will have the highest cost again with eighty-nine and ninety dollars per hundred pound cylinder, respectively. As we said, the lower prices come into effect at midnight tonight.
