Two more U.S. fugitives to be sent home
Two more foreign criminals on the run in Belize have had their stay in paradise cut short. According to local police, fifty-two year old Arthur Schuh and his brother thirty-six year old Thomas Schuh were arrested on Monday after a police raid in Ladyville. With the help of an informant, U.S. officials have been working with the Belize Police Department for close to a year looking for the duo, who are wanted in Wisconsin on narcotics charges. On Monday, the cops made their move, closing in on the Schuh residence in Vista del Mar. News Five understands that when the police came to the door, the sound of a flushing toilet was heard, forcing officers to bust in and arrest the three people inside: Arthur Schuh, using the alias Robert Gustke, his wife Sheryl, and Thomas Schuh. It is uncertain what the Schuhs were flushing but U.S. embassy officials tell us a search of the house yesterday and today has turned up over sixty-five thousand U.S. dollars in hundred dollar bills. Tonight the trio has been charged with illegal entry into Belize and ordered expelled, no doubt into the waiting arms of the U.S. Marshalls. For now, they remain in police custody and according to diplomatic sources, will be deported by the end of the week. We understand that the Schuh brothers have been eluding federal warrants in Wisconsin for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
