Rock band to perform at city bar

If you love rock music, there’s a little bar in Belize City you might want to check out this Friday night. The band “Echoes” will be performing at a venue that is fast attracting young Belizean talent. News Five spoke with the manager of the Putt-Putt Bar and Grill this afternoon.

?The concert this weekend is part of the ongoing effort at the Putt-Putt Bar and Grill to promote people in the expressive arts. Musicians, artists, poets, etcetera. So this weekend what are really having is a free concert by Belize?s premier rock band, Echoes, which for most of us is going a bit out on a limb. But the band is very good and performs music from artists such as Aerosmith, No Doubt, AC/DC, just a whole genre of complete rock music that?s sure to be enjoyable to the public.?

?All night long we?re going to have drink specials, we?re going to be having giveaways. It?s just going to be a fun time for everybody and we just expect everybody to come out and to have a whole lot of fun.?

The show starts at nine this Friday night at the Putt-Putt Bar and Grill on the Newtown Barracks across from the Princess Hotel. Previous guest performers include poets Grandmaster, Erwin X, River of Fire, as well as D.J. Kenny Morgan and others.
