Francis Says Flippin’ Is Right About Dean O.

Francis Fonseca

On Thursday, the media received a rather embarrassing resignation letter from three decade politician, former U.D.P. Minister and now former Standard Bearer of Stann Creek West Melvin Hulse. The letter, allegedly penned by Hulse though released on the official U.D.P. Secretariat letterhead, claims that everything said about Mr. Barrow was a lie. The resignation letter states, “I freely retract it because I knew it could not be true even when I said it.”  Today, the Opposition Leader reacted to allegations made by Hulse in the secret recording.

“Of course we all know about the Melvin Hulse tape. The Melvin Hulse tape which expose the arrogance of Dean Barrow; the arrogance and corruption in the government and making it absolutely clear that what Dean Barrow and this government is all about is about is about staying in power; not caring about anybody. No loyalty to anybody, no loyalty to any country. It is all about himself; his ego, his ego. Regardless of what happens to the country. He doesn’t care. It is all about politics and winning elections. Third term; that is his history…that is what he wants to go down in the history book—coming from his own standard bearer. Fish from river bottom…been there for about thirty years in U.D.P. he knows Dean Barrow better than any of them. He knows Dean Barrow and he knows what he is talking about. Just in one week; I’ve just talked about what has happened in one week—three glaring examples of the growing tyranny and dictatorship and arrogance; the abuse of power by this government. And that is what we have taken a stand against today.”
