Stabbing Incidents Reported in Belize City and Caye Caulker

There are also two stabbing incidents to report tonight. In Belize City, twenty-three year old Kevin Young of Boots Crescent was stabbed multiple times on the face and chest. The stabbing took place on Sunday night just before two o’clock in the morning when he was at home with friends. According to Young, a man he knows as Elroy Peters entered his yard and attempted to take a motorcycle. Young approached Peters and a confrontation followed during which he was stabbed. Young remains hospitalized in critical condition, while police are looking for Peters. The other stabbing incident took place in Caye Caulker which was buzzing with the annual lobster fest. Two men involved in a confrontation were injured and had to be hospitalized. Just before seven o’clock on Sunday night, thirty-one year old Felix Petillo of Belize City stabbed thirty-three year old Deon Pitts of San Pedro Town on the arm and shoulder. But Pitts managed to disarm Petillo and used the same knife to inflict injuries on him.
