Young Bank bridge opens this weekend

The anxiously awaited bridge at Young Bank is almost complete and engineers from the Ministry of Public Works will be allowing traffic to pass over it this weekend and early next week. However, the bridge will be closed again from Wednesday to Saturday next week for its final surfacing. The Ministry cautions everyone using the bridge over the next few days to exercise caution and travel below thirty miles per hour, and be mindful of construction crews near the guardrail. The bridge is being named in honour of late Agripino Cawich, the P.U.P. Area Representative for Cayo South who died in 2003 just a few months after his victory at the polls in the General Election.
