Would-be rapist collared by cops
If the following story doesn’t make you lock your door, then I don’t know what will. Police report that around four Tuesday afternoon a thirteen-year-old student of Kraal Road was confronted by a man standing inside her house wearing not so much as a stitch of clothing. The teenager told police that she was watching television when she first heard the door to the room creak open and then looked over to see the naked intruder. The girl said the man grabbed her and tried to rip off her clothes but she started screaming. An aunt, who lives next door, heard the cries for help and ran to her niece’s rescue. The assailant quickly released his victim and fled, but the girl managed to recognize her attacker as someone who hangs around the neighbourhood. It did not take long for authorities to pick up their suspect, one Robert Goff, and charge him with aggravated burglary and indecent assault. Police told News Five they believe Goff got into the house through an opening in the roof that is being repaired.
