Motorist Found Dead Near Independence

Police are reporting on a fatal traffic accident in the Stann Creek district. It happened at about two o’clock on Monday afternoon in the outskirts of Independence.  Twenty year old Lucas Teul was found lifeless with his body partially under his motorcycle. Teul’s body was found near a creek with head and body injuries.  He reportedly left the village of Santa Teresa, Toledo on Sunday and the last time there was contact with him was just before eight on Sunday night when he called his brother-in-law to say he was about to get to his Independence home. But Teul never reached his intended destination. The body was transported to the Western Regional Hospital where it a post mortem examination is pending. Police are investigating the fatality.
