Water company, city open new park
It took three months to complete, but the children of Belize City’s southside have another park to enjoy. The facility overlooks the Haulover Creek just behind the Belize City Centre and was built by Belize Water Services Limited and the Belize City Council. It was officially opened Monday morning, and as expected, a large number of primary school children were on hand for the occasion.

?This was a coordinated effort between the Belize City Council and B.W.S. The council has seen it fit to ask corporate citizens to join them in developing parks for the different neighbourhoods within Belize City.?
The park was built at a cost of approximately fifty thousand dollars.
