Murder charge faces assailant in bar fight
Murder: that’s the charge facing a Cayo resident after a man he hit with a two-by-four succumbed to his injuries. George Requena of Georgeville died this morning at the K.H.M.H. following an altercation at a bar around two Sunday morning in his village. Requena and Nelson Lopez, a twenty-five year old described as mentally unstable, reportedly got into an argument over cigarettes, at which point Lopez hit Requena in the head with the piece of lumber. Lopez has been charged with murder.
