O.W. death looks like homicide
Police in Orange Walk are taking another look at the death of a Trial Farm man. On Saturday, police recovered the body of forty-three year old Carlos Puerto from the bottom of a well near his house. He was last seen heavily intoxicated and it was believed that he accidentally fell to his death. New evidence, however, has prompted police to suspect foul play. This evidence includes a board found at the scene that police believe may have been used to hit Puerto in the head. Investigators are looking at reports of an old beef Puerto may have had with a co-worker and are actively seeking a suspect.
