Hospital P.R. man charged in bar fight

He was interdicted from duty in February four days after he shot Leslie Rogers Junior during a controversial arrest in Belize City. Today, police constable Aldo Ayuso was charged with aggravated assault and wounding following an incident early Sunday morning at the Lion King Club on King Street. According to twenty-five year old Alex Tillett, Ayuso and his brother, Gary, pointed guns at Tillett and his friend Errol Ferguson and also beat them several times in the head. In Magistrate’s Court today, however, the complainant requested that charges be dropped against Aldo, but fingered Gary as the guy who beat them as well as fired a shot. Gary Ayuso, public relations officer at the K.H.M.H., was then charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm in public.
