Benque man detained for false documents

A Benque Viejo man is under investigation for possibly creating false immigration documents. According to a police press release, a twenty-two year old woman showed up at the S.S.B. Office in Santa Elena on Thursday to apply for her Social Security Card, but her Permanent Residency Card turned out to be a fake. Investigations led Cayo police to the home of a thirty-seven year old businessman of Benque Viejo, where they confiscated a computer, heat laminating pouches and forms, all believed to be used to produce false immigration documents. Both the man and woman have been detained pending further investigation.
