Wife charged for constable’s death
Belmopan police have charged Josephat Choc with murder in connection with the death of her common-law husband twenty-six year old police constable Benedicto Salam. Authorities say the couple were involved in a domestic dispute on Sunday at their home in Las Flores, which ended with Choc shooting Salam with his own service revolver. Salam, a five-year veteran of the department was attached to the anti-drug unit. He will be buried with full honours following a service on Wednesday in San Antonio Village in the Toledo District.
