Succotz man charged with raping minor
A twenty-nine year old taxi driver from Succotz Village has been arrested after police caught him with a thirteen-year-old minor. Authorities say police patrol discovered Hipolito Itza and the young girl on the banks of the Mopan River around two on Monday morning. The girl claimed he had forced her to have intercourse against her will. She was taken to the hospital for an examination where it was verified that she was carnally known. Itza was subsequently charged with rape and unlawful carnal knowledge.
