Three plead guilty to O.W. robbery

Justice was swift for three guys who held up a store in Orange Walk on Easter Monday. Twenty-eight-year-old Robert Hill of Cotton Tree, eighteen-year-old Mark Massam of Belize City and a sixteen-year-old minor today pled guilty to robbery and aggravated assault in Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court. The three were captured on Tuesday while walking down a road in Burrell Boom. Each criminal was sentenced to a total of nine years in prison, with Massam still awaiting charges of possession of a prohibited weapon after he was found carrying a sawed off shotgun. The trio is also suspected of involvement in a number of robberies in Corozal.
