Pink Boutique Expands in the West

If you are a fashionista, you would easily recognize the Pink Boutique Brand. It already has branches in Belize City and San Pedro, and on Saturday, responding to a demand for high fashion, Pink reopened a branch in the west where it hopes to make its mark among those with a sense of style. The concept of pairing clothes and accessories provides shoppers with a unique experience.  Duane Moody was in San Ignacio for the opening and has the following report.

Belizeans from all walks of life, young or old, petite or shapely have their style when it comes to fashion. In Belize, fashion trends are highly sought out as fashionistas keep up with the latest styles for the season. One boutique that is expanding its brand outside of the city is Pink Boutique and on Saturday, it reopened its branch in San Ignacio with style.

Shelly Perera, Owner, Pink Boutique

“We are having a big celebration here in San Ignacio at Pink Boutique in Cayo on Burns Avenue today because we are having the grand reopening of our new store. We were opened in December, but we have expanded our store to offer a wide variety to our customers. Pink Boutique brings fashion to another level. The way we design our stores; as you can tell, this store has chandeliers. This is the first store we put chandeliers in to offer a different taste. Our prices are good, our quality is good. We are always keeping up with the fashion; every week we have new arrivals in clothing, accessories, in handbags. So we offer a wide variety.”

Pink Boutique targets the everyday female; the working class, students and boasts clothing and accessories that add class to any woman’s wardrobe. Tapping into the market in the west is an opportunity for its owners to provide locals with an overall experience that’s second to none.

“We didn’t have a store in the west so we decided to extend our chain of stores. We have Top Notch in San Pedro, we have Pink Boutique in Belize City and we wanted to have a Pink Boutique in San Ignacio. And we offer the best quality in clothing, great prices. Our type of class that we offer is modern and it is a good variety.”

“And because we didn’t have a store in the west, when we opened in last December, we saw that there was an opportunity to offer a variety of clothing and fashion for potential customers in the west. So we made the decision to open a store here. What customers will get today is a great shopping experience and we hope to have them keep coming back. They enjoy the quality, the friendly staff. So all of that we took into consideration and we made sure it is a welcoming atmosphere for the customers.”

The boutique opened with a three-hour live broadcast from the store located on Burns Avenue. Every fifteen minutes, lucky shoppers were chosen and received Pink gift certificates.

“We are giving a lot of giveaways today. We have specials, we have lots of merchandize, we have Travelers Liquors doing rum tasting, giving away free cupcakes, Pink pens. So we have a lot of things to offer.”

“The reason why I come to Pink is because they have a variety of things and unique things that other stores in Cayo do not have and their rates are really nice. You can’t come to Pink and come out empty-handed.”

“How do you feel to have been one of the lucky recipients of a gift certificate?”

Recipient

“It was not unexpected, but I’m glad I did because I can add something else to my cart. The staff are friendly, the lights are nice, the music, the ambience. Everything makes it even easier to shop.”

Duane Moody

“So you would advice others—your friends, relatives, etc, the community—to come out and shop?”

Recipient

“Oh definitely. This is the number one store in Cayo and we recommend to anybody.”
