2-year-old crushed in house collapse
A two-year-old child was killed on Monday afternoon in the Valley of Peace when he was crushed by a falling house. Belmopan police say they were called to the village around three-thirty yesterday afternoon and upon arrival they saw a partially collapsed thatched roof house belonging to thirty-four-year-old Myrna Martinez. Trapped under one of the beams was the toddler. Police say they freed the child and took him to the Western Regional Hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival. Investigations into this tragic incident continue.
