Former radio D.J. releases CD

Story PictureThere is a fresh collection of local music hot off the CD burner, and if you’re into reggae or dancehall, then the works of Belmopan artist Reddadan is a must for your library. After months of writing the songs and arranging the musical compositions, the album “Moving Forward” was last week released to the public. The artist, a former radio disk jockey, says there is a positive message in his lyrics.

Reddadan, Artist
?All of it has emotions and feelings indeed, you know. ?Stop Be Cruel,? that says it all for itself, ?Dreadful System?, ?Politician,? ?Moving Forward.? Like each word resembles its own definition and its own character. So each song to me represents, when you listen to the vocals it will say the same thing that the name titles of the songs say.?

?Well the album is all about progressiveness towards the youths them. You know, the righteousness of what they are pushing out right now in these perilous times. Because ?Moving Forward?, resembles the things that we the younger generation is trying to leave behind. Like all the hatred and the violence and the crime. So we are trying move forward from all these things and pick up righteousness, because it?s all about righteousness.?

Patrick Jones
?Of all the thirteen songs, is there one in particular that you would want the people to listen to??

Reddadan
?Well, all of the songs are powerful and when you put it on the scales no song is greater than the next song. But I would really like for the people to listen to ?The Children? because its all about the children, the future generation tomorrow. All about the younger ones, you know.?

Reddadan says he received assistance in putting the CD together from established industry artists like Bredda David and Indio. The CD contains thirteen songs, with a heavy reggae dancehall flavour. It sells for fifteen dollars and should be available at music outlets countrywide this week.
