Family searches for missing man

Story PictureHe has been missing now for twelve days and tonight the family of twenty-eight-year-old Daniel Tillett is asking for your help in locating him. According to relatives of the Blackman Eddy resident, Daniel, who has a history of mental problems, was last seen on March third in the Belmopan area. His brother, Darrell Tillett, today told News 5 that searches conducted by the family in the Cayo District and as far away as Dangriga, have all been fruitless and he fears that something bad may have happened.

Darrell Tillett, Brother
?Well my brother?s disappearance, to be honest with you, I personally I believe that something has happened to my brother. I don?t know if he has been picked up by anyone in a vehicle and dropped off somewhere around. We don?t have any information, but people on a whole in Blackman Eddy Village know my brother. And I was asking for the support of the police because I am trained soldier. I would have been willing to go out with the policeman them and conduct searches instead of just asking for a picture where, we couldn?t have gotten at the time. They asked if we did not have a picture to put around there.?

Patrick Jones
?Now when you say you believe something might have happened to him, what might have happened to your brother??

Darrell Tillett
?Well all that I have to say noh, is that most likely, I feel like my brother, somebody have either killed my brother and his body has been thrown somewhere and we can?t find him any at all. If he was anywhere around close within Belmopan my brother would have already come home because he is a person, he always comes home and he is somebody who does not give any kind of trouble. He does not interfere with nobody. He is a very calm somebody. He is somebody like a baby. And he travels with a mental problem. We would come here and has you for a dollar to go buy cigarettes, because he likes do his little smoking and thing. And he would go back home. He does not trouble anybody.?

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Daniel Tillett is asked to contact the nearest police station or call the family at telephone numbers 600-1041, 620-6686 or 607-3425.
