Suspects arrested in murder, robbery
A late Friday night fight in Belize City came to a deadly end when one of two men introduced a knife to the altercation. According to police reports, twenty-one year old Trevor Gill and forty-four year old Anthony Flowers became involved in a misunderstanding some time around ten Friday night on Lovely Lane. Shortly after, Gill is reported to have pulled out a knife and stabbed Flowers in the left side of his chest. Flowers was taken to the KHMH but later succumbed to the injury. Gill has been charged for the crime of murder.
And in a follow up to a crime reported last week, police have arrested and charged two nineteen-year-old men in connection with a home invasion on the Northern Highway. Javon Hill and Brandon Smith have been charged for the crime of aggravated burglary. The two are accused of entering a house at mile four on the Northern Highway armed with guns and robbing the resident of an assortment of items. Police say the victim reported to them that her attackers fled the scene in a red Dodge Dakota pickup. That description led authorities to the alleged getaway vehicle and the arrest of Hill and Smith.
