Independence man charged with rape
Police in Independence have arrested and charged a resident of that village in connection with the sexual assault of a fourteen year old girl. Twenty-seven year old Rolando Hernandez Andrade is accused of raping the child late on Saturday night. The girl told police that she was home alone, when someone she knew well raped her. According to the victim, Saturday’s assault was not the first, and that Hernandez had also raped her last December but that she was afraid to make a report at that time. Hernandez has been charged for the crimes of rape and unlawful carnal knowledge.
