Was Courtship the Reason Why a Lord’s Bank Resident was Stabbed to Death?
Twenty-five-year-old Ervin Franklyn was stabbed and killed in Lord’s Bank Village over the weekend. The fatal incident happened sometime around two o‘clock on Saturday morning. According to Ladyville police, they responded to an area off Edwin Park Street where they saw the young man suffering from multiple stab wounds to various parts of the body, including the lower back and armpit. Despite being rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, Franklyn would not survive the vicious attack. The motive, according to Senior Superintendent Edward Broaster, may have been the result of Franklyn reportedly courting a young lady in the neighborhood.

“On Saturday, October tenth, the Ladyville police precinct received information of a male person in the Lord’s Bank area who was stabbed. When police went there, they found the lifeless body of Ervin Osborn Franklyn, twenty-five years of a Lord’s Bank Village address. Initial investigation indicated that he received a stab wound to the back and to the right armpit. He was transported to the K.H.M.H. where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Investigation thus far to date, we have two suspects in custody, one of which is confessing to the stabbing death of the individual and we have other witnesses that we have recorded statements from in regards to this incident.”

“Well like I said, we arrested two of the suspects and they will be charged by this afternoon or early tomorrow morning.”
