City woman missing since Saturday

Story PictureTonight forty-year-old Hazel Elizabeth Morgan, co-owner of the Hanger CafĂ© at the municipal airstrip, remains missing after she disappeared from her home following an argument with her common-law-husband early Saturday morning. Today twenty-one year old Olivia Galvez told News 5 that she fears something bad has happened to her mother because otherwise she would have contacted the family by now to say that she was safe. When News 5 contacted Morgan’s common-law-husband Jeff Dunn, he confirmed that there was a domestic dispute on Friday night. Dunn says he went to sleep and when he got up around two the next morning he saw Morgan lying on the sofa. He went back to bed but when he woke up around five forty-five that morning he says Morgan was gone…along with her passport and a bag with an undisclosed amount of money. Left behind was all her clothing and other possessions, not to mention her five-year-old son. Dunn did admit that while Morgan has left home before it is the first time she has gone without her children and not contacted her family. Authorities would not say how they are treating the case, only that there is no evidence to suggest that Morgan has left the country. In a tearful interview with News 5’s Jacqueline Woods, Galvez appeals to anyone who has seen her mother, to please contact the nearest police station.
