Mom accused of giving 12 year old daughter to canecutter

On Thursday, a twelve-year-old girl walked into the Orange Walk police station and told the authorities that since November twenty eighth she has been living and having sex with twenty five year old cane cutter Ernesto Magana. No, it was not a case of a run away child falling into a premature romance. According to the child it was her thirty eight year old mother that made arrangements with the man to have her move in with him. Sources tell News 5 that there is no evidence to suggest that the mother was paid any money for the transaction but following an investigation police not only charged Magana with carnal knowledge but also arrested the mother, a Salvadoran national, and charged her with abetment to commit carnal knowledge. Meanwhile a second woman identified as Katalina Jimenez has been charged for the crime of permitting the defilement of a child on premises.
