Two charged in Crawford killing
Some three hours after his picture was shown on this newscast Monday Night, twenty-two year old Charles Hinds walked in to the Queen Street Police Station and handed himself into authorities. Hinds was sought by police for the murder of twenty-year-old Arthur Crawford who was shot around eleven thirty on Saturday night on Central American Boulevard. Sources tell News 5 that the incident was the result of an altercation between the two young men that had occurred some time ago. Today Hinds was charged with murder and remanded to Hattieville prison. On Monday, police charged eighteen-year-old Luciano Torres for aiding and abetting a murder and for aggravated assault for pointing a firearm at another person who was in the area at the time of the murder.
