Bail Granted to Police Constable Hector Esquivel
Two men who were before the court recently accused of different criminal offenses were granted Supreme Court bail in the sum of five thousand dollars each today. The first is interdicted cop, thirty-one-year old year old Hector Esquivel who is charged with Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a fourteen year old on November first, 2015. Esquivel spent three nights on remand but this morning he got bail from Supreme Court Judge, Dennis Hanomansingh. He will, however, have to stay away from the alleged victim and her family as well as surrender his passport to the police. PC Esquivel’s next court date is set for December eighteenth, 2015. The second person to be granted similar bail is twenty-two year old Ladyville resident, Kyle Perez. He was arraigned on Tuesday, November third, 2015, and charged with Maim and Damage to Property upon his ex-girlfriend, Kamisha Yorke. She is accusing him of assaulting her during a domestic dispute at her home during which he broke a phone screen in her face and injured one of her eyes. Perez also has to meet stringent conditions. The incident occurred on October twenty-sixth.
