He stole sand but was charged with Grievous Harm
And an eighteen year old B.D.F. volunteer from Junesville also appeared in court today. That’s because James Nunez lost his cool when he was allegedly caught stealing sand. Nunez pleaded not guilty to Grievous Harm and Magistrate Dorothy Flowers offered him bail of one thousand five hundred dollars. His case has been adjourned until August nineteenth. Forty year old Javier Otero reported that on July first while he was at home, he heard noises outside and when he checked, he saw Nunez in his yard stealing sand. When he asked why, Nunez allegedly grabbed a two by four inch piece of wood and hit Otero, fracturing his left shoulder. But Otero managed to get back inside the house and call the police. He was issued a medico-legal form and taken to the hospital where his injury was classified as Grievous Harm. Meanwhile, Nunez was detained two days later, on July third.
