Fatal shooting rocks Dangriga
The peace and quiet of the coastal town of Dangriga was interrupted by gunfire early this morning and when the dust had cleared one man lay dead. Dangriga police say that around eight thirty this morning they responded to reports of shots being fired in the back-a-town area. But when the cops got to the scene it was already too late; they found Michael Palacio fatally wounded to the neck. He was taken to the Southern Regional hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Investigators recovered one spent nine millimetre shell at the scene. One man has been detained and police are looking for another suspect. A motive for the early morning killing has not yet been established and authorities are asking anyone with information to call the nearest station or Crimestoppers at 922.
