The deceased is described only as a young Hispanic man and police have been trying to find out his identity. But what we do know is that the victim was riding this bicycle on Gibnut Street when a number of persons saw him fall to the pavement. The witnesses say the young man was along with an older Hispanic man, but they do not know if this is the person that stabbed his companion in the chest. But one witness, who did not wish to appear on camera, says she was talking with a friend on Dolphin Street when they saw a man run passed them. The woman says it was not until they ran to the crime scene, that the victim, barely alive manage to point in the direction of where his attacker fled. She says it was the same direction as the man they saw running.
Voice of Witness
? He had on a grey hat with a white shirt and a faded black pants. He have a kind of big belly. He was running; running really fast. We didn?t really get up to go see until a man told us and when we got around there we saw. But then I went beside the young man and a lady from around there asked the young man who did it to him and he pointed in the direction to where the Spanish ran. So then we said it?s that same Spanish man did it.?
Reports are that the victim was stabbed three times. Because a bag of chicken was found by his side it is believed he may have just bought the food and was making his way home when he was attacked.

?The guy you saw running, did he have blood on his clothes??
Voice of Witness
?He had something on his hand. His left hand was by his pants pocket. So maybe he had the thing in his pocket that he did it with and then he went running up the street.?
The police say they have detained one man who fits the description given by witnesses but at this time cannot say if he was involved. Jacqueline Woods for News 5
