Troy Cole is Charged for Aggravated Assault

Twenty-six-year-old Troy Treston Cole, a resident ofCurassow Streetis tonight on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being accused of assaulting Gilroy Arnold with a firearm.  The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday onBocotora Streetwhen Cole allegedly opened fire on Arnold who fortunately escaped serious injury.  Cole, who was unrepresented, appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser where he was read a single charge of aggravated assault with a firearm.  Cole pleaded not guilty to the charge but was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until January fifteenth, 2016.
