Georgeville man charged with child molestation

If you thought last week’s arrest of a grown man for sexually molesting his five year old stepdaughter was more than you could take, this week we have an equally disturbing story coming out of Georgeville in the Cayo District. San Ignacio police on Saturday arrested and charged twenty year old Kareem Gongora of the new area in the village after the mother of a three year old girl reported that the child had been sexually assaulted. According to reports, the child’s mother walked into her house only to find Gongora with the little girl sitting on his leg, his erect penis in one hand and the accused fondling the baby?s vagina with the other. Gongora was arraigned in Magistrate’s Court this afternoon on a single charge of aggravated assault. No plea was taken since it is an indictable offence, and Gongora was remanded to Hattieville prison until his next court appearance on February tenth.
