Man claims Hotel security beat him senseless

Story PictureIt was not the way he planned on bringing in the new year, but a night of partying came to an abrupt end in the wee hours of January First when a fight broke out at Charisma, a new nightclub that opened over the holidays at the Princess Hotel. Twenty-two year old Eder Alamilla tells News 5, that he and his girlfriend had stepped outside to greet her parents and upon trying to re-enter the establishment, things turned ugly.

Eder Alamilla, Beating Victim
?I was attacked and assaulted by the head manager whose name is Merk Mulubaski. He assaulted me and basically after that a scuffle ensued between him and I and after that approximately six security guards attacked me and put me unconscious.?

?I have five fractures on my face, on the right side of my face, all internal. Tomorrow I have to be flown out to the states for reconstructive surgery. And basically that?s the story.?

Patrick Jones
?What precipitated this fight? Did you interfere with the manager??

Eder Alamilla
?This man, he began with insulting me, cursing me. And at this time, I told my girlfriend we?ll leave the premises if that?s the case. If this is the management and their security will are going to treat us like this we don?t have any need to patronize their establishment. So we are exiting this place and that?s when he attacked me from behind and punched me on my right eye and that?s when the fight ensued.?

?They?ve classified it as grievous harm and that?s basically it; grievous harm.?

Patrick Jones
?Eder what would you want from the people at the Princess Hotel??

Eder Alamilla
?Well this isn?t the first time that I?ve heard of such an incident. I have three close friends who within the past two months have detailed similar incident like this to me and basically if this is proving that the princess hotel and casino is under mismanagement if the head manager is acting like this, I don?t now what to say.?

?I need to be compensated. My medical bills need to be paid and this person needs to serve some jail time.?

Giovanni Alamilla, Attack Victim
?By chance I happened to come out of the club to go to the bathroom and I was told by numerous people that my brother was being beaten up. When I saw him on the side, he was basically laid out on the ground on his back, not moving and the manager on top of him punching him in his face. I noticed about four or five security guards just kicking him. And at that point I just jumped in I grabbed the manager and we started fighting from there and the security guards jumped on me. After a couple minute they left us alone, I went back to my brother, who was laid out in the same position. When I tried to pick him up, I looked up and the security guards were coming at me again. At that point I reached into my side for my license firearm because I thought they were basically going to kill us. But by that time when I reached into my pants it was already too late, they were already too close to me. So they grabbed unto me and another scuffle ensued. Somehow I end up laid out on top of the poll table with them holding on to me hitting me. And when I looked up another one of their manager had chrome revolver in his hand and he just started hitting me in my face with it and then he pointed his gun in my face and that?s when I let go of mine.?

The Alamilla brothers say they are pressing charges against Balukbasi and have acquired the services of attorney Michael Peyrefitte. The Management of Princess Hotel and Casino meanwhile, in a published response in the Belize Times said that the security guards did not act out of the way in handling the situation since Alamilla was a direct threat to them and the guests of the hotel. Public relations officer for the Princess Harsimran Kaur, told the Belize Times that the incident started when Eder Alamilla, his girlfriend and his brother tired to enter the establishment without being properly dressed, namely without shoes.
