More Arrests in Brutal Home Invasion in Burrell Boom
The investigation into the home invasion at the house of the Lebanese Honorary Consul continues to unfold. Today police say they made seven more arrests over the weekend, five directly related and two related indirectly to the home invasion in Burrell Boom on December third. By our unofficial count…including these arrests eighteen persons have been charged, and today Senior Superintendent Edward Broaster called a press briefing to provide the media with an update.
Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster, Regional Commander, Eastern Division Rural
“We have over the weekend arrested Paul Jex Sr., forty-two years, Anthony Smith, twenty-four years, Paula Gentle, twenty years and two other minors for the crime of handling stolen goods where we recovered a flat screen television. The Rural Rapid Response Team yesterday intercepted a black Infiniti QX4 with license plate BZ-C46386 belonging to Carlos Abraham who is a person of interest in the Aggravated Burglary in Burrell Boom. At the time the vehicle was occupied by Kingsley Cadle, thirty-four years and Anthony Garbutt, forty-two years. When our Rural Rapid Response Team pulled the vehicle over, the occupants threw a firearm out the window which is a point twenty-two revolver. They recovered five live rounds and one expended shell. Apparently the firearm was recently fired because the shell and the firearm were warm.”
The vehicle was stopped because Police are actively hunting for George Street affiliate Carlos Abraham, also known as Zimbab. Authorities are also looking for Lane Grinage as a person of interest in the aggravated burglary. Just before news time we received confirmation that Carlos Abraham has turned himself in to Police.
