PG Taxi-Man Stabbed to Death

Details are sketchy at this point, but News Five has been able to confirm that the body of a very well known P.G. resident was found in his vehicle on a deserted feeder road. According to reports, just before midday somebody passing by saw the body of sixty-one year old taxi-man Antonio Rodriguez, a resident of Elridgeville, inside his van in a relatively remote location off the Joe Taylor Bridge. Police responded to a 911 call and have confirmed that they observed multiple stab wounds on the upper part of Rodriguez’s body. While the investigation is in its preliminary stages, investigators have ruled out robbery since the victim’s licensed nine millimetre pistol was found next to him, along with his wallet which still contained his cash and documents.

Adan Mesa

And in an update to a murder we reported on Monday, Corozal Police have charged twenty-nine year old Adan Mesa for the brutal stabbing death of Alberto Briceño in Paraiso on Saturday night. The twenty-two year old was fatally stabbed to the wrist, chest and back sometime around nine-thirty p.m. a few feet away from where residents attended a dance inside the Balthazar Vasquez Park in the village. Briceño was reportedly involved in a misunderstanding with his alleged killer’s brother, Raul Mesa when Adan attacked him and stabbed him to death.
