Cayo porn king guilty of obscenity

A Canadian man arrested after more than a thousand photographs of nude Belizean women were found in his home has been charged in Cayo’s Magistrate?s Court. Police tell News 5 fifty-one year old Arthur Wager pled guilty to possession of obscene objects and was fined eight hundred dollars. We understand that his computer has been confiscated by the Government of Belize and the pictures found on the machine, on diskettes and on paper were ordered to be destroyed. Wager was arrested after police searched his home on George Price Avenue and found the explicit material, including pictures of allegedly underage girls. It is believed that the women were paid one hundred and fifty dollars to pose nude. Wager was back in court this morning to answer to the charge of trafficking in persons. He pled not guilty and was granted bail in the amount of two thousand dollars plus one surety. Wager is to reappear in court on March first.
