A Great Wall for Ladyville Police
The Rural Eastern Division of the Belize Police Department today received a very generous and much needed donation from a corporate entity within their jurisdiction, National Aggregates Limited. Like with all divisions, that one is seriously strapped for vehicular resources, and that’s a real problem when there are many miles to cover. So the brand new Great Wall Wingle, valued at twenty-six thousand dollars, is maybe the best Christmas gift that the Rural Eastern Division could receive just two days before Christmas.
Amanda Arguelles, Public Relations, National Aggregates Limited
“We at National Aggregates saw the need for the Police, being back and forth on the highway, for transportation. So we approached Sr. Supt. Broaster and asked him if there was any way the company could help them with anything they need, and he said transportation was the major problem, that they needed additional. With that in mind we decided nothing was more fitting than to help them in that department. So we decided to donate a new Police truck.”
Sr. Supt. Edward Broaster, Commander, Rural Eastern Division
“Today is our day for receiving, and we want to thank National Aggregates for their kind gesture in donating this truck. This truck is going to be utilized for highway patrol from mile eight to mile twenty-one on the George Price Highway, and I am sure it is going to do a lot of prevention especially in the smuggling of firearms and drugs into and out of the Belize District.”

“It would also help us if they have more vehicles on the road it would be better policing for that area which indirectly benefits the company as well because they would be able to patrol there more.”
