Jilted wife sought in Lord?s Bank murder

Story PictureShakespeare’s adage about scorned women was amply demonstrated in the Ladyville suburb of Lord’s Bank last night as a jilted lover’s hellish fury has left her ex-boyfriend dead. News 5’s Patrick Jones reports from the scene of the crime.

The domestic dispute erupted around ten thirty on Tuesday night inside this house at number thirty-one Lord?s Bank Road, and ended with the death of thirty-nine year old Luis Foreman. Yolanda Foreman who manages the Esso Gas Station in Ladyville says her brother helped to close the business at ten o?clock, escorted her home, and then to his own house accompanied by his girlfriend and eleven year old son. And that was the last time that Foreman saw her brother alive.

Yolanda Foreman, Sister of Deceased
?They came in they brought food to eat, and apparently, what I heard, right, that when they came in the girl was putting the food for them to eat and the child went to the back. Apparently, she said that it looks like the girl was here already hiding in the dark because it was dark. And when his girlfriend alerted that his son went to the back he went to look for him and same time this lady, aha, he was approaching the door to go out and the lady came in.?

The lady in question is Foreman?s ex-common law wife Miriam Aguilar. The couple separated about a month ago, but family members say that because of jealousy Aguilar continued to harass Foreman. She confronted the father of her two children inside the house, cursing him in Spanish about his involvement with his current girlfriend. When Aguilar attempted to confront the girlfriend, Foreman restrained her, but she somehow managed to get her hands on a butcher knife and that was when the confrontation turned fatal.

?And she took it and she stabbed him in the leg and then she wanted to stab him again and the little boy jumped and said don?t do that mom, and she turned around and tried to juk (stab) the little boy and the boy just kept away from her.?

Aguilar then exited the house, got into Foreman?s car and attempted to leave. But mud in the yard bogged down the car, and she fled on foot. Neighbours report seeing her throwing the murder weapon in this patch of bush in front of the yard and alerted police who recovered in this morning. Foreman meanwhile, was complaining of being weak and asking for help, but by the time paramedics arrived, he had already bled to death on his living room floor.

Yolanda Foreman
?This woman from day one she was problematic. She is a very jealous woman and always was in and out with him. Anytime she left him, go back, they break up and she was to me a very aggressive woman and always threatened him that she is going to kill him, that she is going to kill him, like that. And she wasn?t nobody that we even liked because of her attitude.?

Aguilar is a Honduran who has been living in the village for several years, and the deceased family believes that she may still be hiding out in Ladyville. As Foreman?s family gave interviews to the media, this thirteen year old boy who lives close by, arrived and made a startling confession that he saw Aguilar last night, apparently stalking Foreman.

Samuel Mendez, 13 year old neighbour
?I mi di sit down right here with my friends and then I see the lady come, run here. First she was walk, then right here she stopped to talk to her little daughter. She told her daughter something, but I never heard because I was far and the neighbour was plying music. Then she searched in her purse then she run gone so. I think they were in a hurry because they mi di do business, right.?

Patrick Jones
?Since you found out that your neighbour died, have you seen this lady??

Then she said his wife. Then I said in my mind, cho, I just done see she this morning.?

Patrick Jones
