Airline brings cheer to KHMH
While some people will be celebrating Christmas in the comfort of their homes, others will be recovering from illnesses and injuries at the country’s main medical institution, the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. So, once again the KHMH is receiving some much needed help to make things a little bit brighter. This evening the staff of Continental Airlines visited the hospital armed with decorations and a ten foot Christmas tree.
Kim Aikman, Country Manager, Continental Airlines
?We pride ourselves in being good corporate citizens of Belize and Mr. Ayuso approached us and asked us if we would be able to help him with a Christmas Tree for the lobby of the KHMH and the staff rallied together and they all donated decorations and we decided to just come out and do it if it will make everybody feel better when coming to the hospital.?
Jacqueline Woods
?It?s not only a Christmas Tree you are donating though; I understand the children will be receiving gifts and you guys will actually be doing the work of decorating the hospital.?
Kim Aikman
?Yes, we will decorate the tree and we will put money together to give gifts to the children who are in here at Christmas time. As you know, we do the Toys for Tots programme and whatever is left from there we will bring to the hospital.?
It is the second time that Continental Airlines has made Christmas donations to the KHMH.
