Carnival?s newest ship heads to Belize
At one hundred and ten thousand tons, she is one of the largest cruise liners to sail in these waters and on December twenty-eighth, the Carnival Valor will make the first of what should be many stops in Belize City Harbour. The Valor, which holds a maximum of just under three thousand passengers, was built in Italy and is now on its way across the Atlantic where it will make alternating seven-day cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean. In addition to Belize, the Valor will call at Roatan, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. The five hundred million U.S. dollar vessel boasts four swimming pools, twenty-two bars and four restaurants. The distinction of the biggest ship to ever visit Belize belongs to Royal Caribbean’s one hundred and thirty-seven thousand ton Voyager of the Seas.
