One detained in Belmopan robbery
Details are sketchy but reports to News 5 indicate that an armed robbery took place this afternoon at the office of Belize Water Services in Belmopan. It is alleged that three men, armed with a handgun and sawed off shotgun, entered the building on Cardinal Avenue, tied up the employees with duct tape and escaped with an undisclosed sum of cash and cheques. Reports on Love FM indicate that one of the robbers dropped some of the money as he fled and it was later returned to B.W.S. by residents.
