Veteran educator is new NICH president
The National Institute of Culture and History has a new president. She is Gloria Edwards. Edwards, one of the nation’s best known educators, is the former principal of Grace Primary School in Belize City and currently works as a music teacher with NICH and the Ministry of Education. At Grace Primary, Edwards was known as a no nonsense administrator who established a strong academic programme with emphasis on the creative arts. As president of NICH she will oversee the efforts of four institutes: Archaeology, Museums, Creative Arts and Social/Cultural Research.
