Accused felon is shot while on bail

An accused felon out on bail was shot in the face on Friday night and now lies recovering in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. According to police reports, nineteen year old Brian Herrera was standing on East Canal near Dean Street when he was approached by a man who let loose with a torrent of gunfire. Police later recovered seven expended nine millimetre shells. Herrera, a resident of George Street, was one of three men arrested after a search of their vehicle on October thirtieth revealed an arsenal that included an AK 47, tech nine and plenty of ammunition. Police have detained one suspect in the shooting of Herrera.
