Taiwanese trade delegation visits Belize
A delegation of business men and women from the Republic of China on Taiwan is on an official visit to the country, with an eye to explore areas of greater cooperation. Today, on the first full day of their visit, the group, led by Minister without Portfolio, Yi-fu Lin, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Said Musa and Minister of Investment Ralph Fonseca in Belmopan. During the meeting in the Cabinet Room, the Prime Minister expressed Government?s appreciation for the assistance that the Taiwanese continue to provide to Belize. He also reiterated G.O.B.?s support for Taiwan?s full participation in the international community. Members of the visiting delegation, which includes government officials, bankers and private sector representatives, have also had meetings with their local counterparts. The group leaves the country on Saturday.
