Suspect in Gruesome Chopping Murder Captured in Mexico
The hunt for fifty-nine year old Juan Carlos Gutierrez has come to an end. The Salvadoran national, who was wanted by Orange Walk Police for the cold-blooded murder of Indian Church Vice-Chairman, fifty-one year old Francisco Arevalo, was captured this afternoon by Mexican and Belize police in Allende, Mexico. Gutierrez is believed to have accosted and killed Arevalo near an incomplete cement house in the village on the seventeenth of January. Arevalo’s nude body was found with multiple chop wounds to the head, neck and his left hand was almost severed. News Five spoke with the Orange Walk Police Commander today who says that in fact Gutierrez has been caught and is in the process of being transported back to Belize where he is likely to be arraigned for the murder of the village vice-chairman.
