Good evening I?m James Adderley and you?ve logged on to Sports Monday. The four teams to make the post season in the Reginald Jex Challenged Cup all travelled to the Sandhill Field yesterday for the opening matches in the playoff.

Game I finds the Lucky Strike Eagles in action against the Untouchable who almost take the lead here when Gilroy Alarcan misses from point-blank range.

The Eagles fly back with this set piece from Tyrone Muschamp, but Bruce Jones easily handles the situation and we must say it?s a black blaster affair when intermission expires.

For certain the fans are looking for better entertainment when the match resume so Gilroy Alarcan takes it upon himself to come up with the big move and does as he gives Untouchables a 1-zip lead.

Having struck for first blood, the Untouchables look for more, but Christopher Reid does everything right except for the attempt at goal.

This time downfield it?s Kadrian Reid with the scoring chance but the left foot launch lets him down.

Talk about a comedy of errors people-well the Eagles goal keeper Elvis Godoy makes the first-Reid?s first touch fails him, the attempt to clear is bungled but the Lucky Strike defence eventually clears.

Off this corner, kick its more Untouchables as number seventeen, Rodney Cassanova, squanders this open look.

In the meantime Lucky Strike thinks they?ve earned a penalty here, but the striker was offside before tackle. The Untouchables hang on to 1-zip W at the end of regulation.

So now we turn to Game II as Pueblo Escondido of Lucky Strike takes on Maskall Hardcore and it?s Jack Dawson tries to put Pueblo on the scoreboard first with this left foot offering that forces Carlton Salsado into a big time save.

The team in blue & white mounts another offensive charge that frees up Lionel Jones who takes too long to launch his shot–we?re scoreless at half time.

At the resumption of play, it?s Lionel Jones of Pueblo Escondido with another good look at goal, but his attempt is failed by good defence.

At the other end its Marshall Hardcore?s Leon Smith looking to score on the individuals effortCthe ball reaches Alvin Jones who fires at goal.

Now keep your eyes on the pill as Midwell centers to number eleven Nigel Hulse, but the ball had already been rules off.

But here come shte first goal of the ballgame–Midwell heads to #5 Alvin Jones and he finds the back of the nets a s Hardcore leads.

Three minutes later, the response form Pueblo Escondido comesCbut the goal by Rudalph McKoy is midfield by the hand play–and he should have received a yellow card.

Folks that?s Lionel Jones lived up for this corner kick and watch him guide this long-range bomb into the back of the net to tire the score at one apiece and that?s that the way it ended. Game II of the playoffs will resume next Sunday at Sandhill.

Turning to Cycling news, we want to remind you that the Alphos Williams Cycling Classic will be staged Sunday on the Western Highway. It?s one of the premier events on the cycling calendar. You wont want to miss it.

That?s it folks. We want to thank our cameramen for the great work over the weekend. Jah over all, I?m James Adderley.
