Teakettle singer jumps into Bzean music scene
Another local artist is braving the tough realities of the music industry to share his lyrical talents with Belize. A resident of Teakettle Village, twenty year old Hubert Goff, AKA Ras Jun, today released his first album of thirteen original songs, which are set to background music ripped from the library of popular reggae artists.
Hubert ?Ras Jun? Goff
?My new CD is all about reality and righteousness and about wars and tribulation and false idols and things that people are saying on the world right about now. If you listen to the reggae music of mine, Ras Jun, you can get the message the right way. Because right now the reggae music is all in confusion which is Babylon, noh.?
?My mother tell me that, she said when I get a little bit older she knows that girls will come between me and her and things and I told her, and I put that in the music that that?s a lie because no girl can?t come between me and her, you know. And she laughs about that to same way. And she is always happy about the track because what I?m telling her is: (Singing Mamma Don?t cry.)?
The album was produced at JAH Rock Studios in Teakettle Village.
