Another jacking on Caesar Ridge Road

The M.O. is identical, only the victim’s employer is different. Tonight, following a report of a second armed hold up in seven days, police are investigating the possibility that a duo of criminals is targeting delivery trucks in the Yabra area of Belize City. According to police press officer G. Michael Reid a salesman for Western Diaries was making a delivery to the Port Loyola shopping centre on Caesar Ridge Road around midday Monday when he was approached by two men, one of whom placed a gun to his side and robbed the employee of four hundred dollars. Last Tuesday afternoon, in a similar incident, a salesman for Cayo Tropical Fruits was also robbed at gunpoint on Caesar Ridge Road. No one has been arrested for either crime, and police, in addition to advising residents to be extra careful this holiday season, are now asking business people to do the same.
