Tourist drowns at Southwater Caye
An American tourist on an outing to Southwater Caye, died on Tuesday morning, but police do not believe that foul play was involved. According to Sandra Jacobs, she and her husband, sixty-six year old doctor, Barry Nock, were snorkelling near the island, located southeast of Dangriga, around nine thirty yesterday morning, but when she came out of the water, she could not locate her spouse. A search was organized and Nock’s body was found about two hours later by some other tourists in the area. He was taken to the Southern Regional Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
